The Fabulous Country Wedding

Nothing short of fabulous was to be expected at Brent Ridge and Josh Kilmer-Purcell’s wedding on June 28 at their home and farm in Upstate New York.

The couple, who won “The Amazing Race” and were stars of Planet Green and Cooking Channel’s “The Fabulous Beekman Boys,” opened up their home to almost 300 guests, including family, friends and fans for their intimate and rustic country wedding.

As everyone walked up the pasture to the ceremony overlooking the Mohawk Valley, rain storms passed overhead. This did not dampen the day and the romantic wedding went on as planned. The couple exchanged poems they wrote to each other when they first started dating nearly 14 years ago.

Details throughout the wedding were incredibly intimate. Picnic blankets were custom embroidered for all the guests to enjoy on the lawn and games like petanque and kite flying were to be enjoyed.  Signature cocktails were served. The mailbox awaited notes from guests. Each guest brought their family’s heirloom dishes and recipes for all to share and enjoy.

Martha Stewart was among the guests and broadcasted live for her radio show from the couple’s porch overlooking the expansive views of the valley and mountains. Ünder, Brent and Josh’s puppy also made an appearance and was the girl of the hour when she greeted the guests.

Congratulations, Josh and Brent!
